CHAPTER 3 : Noun Phrase (Frasa Kata Benda)

Noun Phrase adalah gabungan dari beberapa kata yang intiya adalah kata benda.

Contoh Noun Phrase:

1. The Dutiful

2. Barbarous, hostile rebels

Noun phrase diterjemahkan terbalik mulai dari belakang.

Contoh:

The dutiful, agile soldiers

Terjemahannya adalah: para tentara yang lincah dan patuh

Barberous, hostile rebels

Terjemahannya adalah: para pemberontak yang suka bermusuhan dan keji.

Contoh noun phrase dalam sebuah kalimat:

The dutiful, agile soldier always defend the territory of Indonesia well against barbarous, hostile rebels.

Terjemahan kalimat diatas adalah:

Para tentara yang lincah dan patuh selalu mempertahankan wilayah Indonesia terhadapa para pemberontak yang suka bermusuhan dan keji.

Sebaiknya Anda membaca grammar 2 diatas lebih dari satu kali agar Anda dapat mengerti dengan baik dan jadi akan memudahkan Anda dalam menjawab latihan grammar di bawah ini.

Setelah mengerti pelajaran noun phrase, sekarang mari kita melihat noun phrase dalam kalimat-kaimat, pada latihan di bawah ini. 30 kosakata target yang telah Anda hafal sebelumnya akan muncul pada exercise 3 dibawah ini. Untuk itu, jika Anda belum hafal 30 kosakata target sebelumnya dengan baik Anda boleh menghafal kosakata target sebelum melanjutkan latihan di bawah ini.

Isi titik-titik dalam kalimat-kalimat di bawah ini dengan kata-kata dalam kotak di atas.

Catatan :

Kata-kata yang bergaris bawah dalam kalimat-kalimat di bawah ini adalah noun phrase. Anda harus menterjemahkan noun phrase tersebut terbalik mulai dari belakang.

Catatan:

Hati-hati. Jangan keliru dengan dua kata di bawah ini:

1. find/found/found : (v) menemukan

2. found/founded/founded : (v )mendirikan

Contoh :

A casualty is found under the ruin of embassy (seorang korban ditemukan dibawah reruntuhan kedutaan)

The embassy is founded on a plot on kuningan street, in jakarta  (Kedutaan dibangun di atas sebuah kaveling di Jl. Kuningan di Jakarta)

Kata-kata yang digarisbawahi dalam soal-soal dibawh ini adalah noun phrase dan harus diterjemahkan terbalik.

A.  After the tired but agile, competent and dutiful Indonesian rescuers sought casualties among the ruins of the embassy of Greece (negara Yunani), the rescuers (1) .............. the ruins of the embassy. But while they were leaving the ruin of the embassy, one of the rescuers saw acasualty under fence of the embass. The rescuer didn’t leave the ruined embassy.
